Hoseok
Yeonjun and I arrived back at the mansion just as Namjoon, Jungkook and Taehyung. ‘You didn’t find her?’ Jungkook asked as we made our way into the mansion. I shook my head, that bad feeling in my stomach churning.
‘Nothing. We went to the usual places. The house, the bars, even the motels but nothing,’ I said, knowing I sounded defeated but I could not deny it. I was worried and scared for her. I wanted to scold her for leaving and hold her in my arms, knowing she was safe.
‘We’ll keep looking. Somehow, I don’t think she went far,’ Namjoon said while I nodded.
‘We know her. We know she would still want to keep an eye on us even if she did say she wanted to go far away,’ Taehyung said, sounding hopeful.
‘I hope so. I know she cares so much about us. I just wish she cares the same way about herself,’ Yeonjun said just as we walked inside.
‘Yeonjun, can you get Yoongi please? Tell him to come to the office,’ Namjoon said, probably wanting to brief about the lack of clues about her and what they found out about the warehouse. I had not even asked him about that.
‘Sure hyung,’ Yeonjun said as he took off with a jog. I heard Namjoon sigh as he stopped to look at him.
‘I’m worried about him,’ Namjoon said as we continued walking.
‘I am too. We all know what happened last time when that * hurt Minji. He went after him without a thought. If someone hurts Hanuel,’ Taehyung stopped as he took a deep breath.
‘I’d kill them myself,’ I said, feeling a surge of anger at the very thought that someone would hurt her in a way. That very thought made me feel uncomfortable, unsettled, angry.
‘Hey can we not think like that from now?’ Jungkook said. ‘She knows how to handle herself. I would dare to say she’s a better fighter than all of us combined,’ he added.
‘That she is,’ I said, with a small smile just as we reached the office. Namjoon opened the door but instantly, his face seemed to drain from colour. ‘What’s wrong Joon?’ I asked as I went in further.
I gasped as I saw Myung’s head laid on the table and Jimin and Jin on the ground. My eyes went to the crib which was empty and I felt my heart stop. Did they get Logan? Did they kill them? No! It couldn't be!
‘No….no,’ Namjoon muttered as he made his way towards Myung. I instantly kneeled down next to the others as did Taehyung. My hand went to Jimin’s neck and I sighed in relief as I felt a steady pulse. I looked up to see Namjoon slapping Myung’s face gently.
‘Myungie, yeobo, please, please wake up,’ Namjoon begged, eyes glazing over with tears.
‘Hyung I think… I think they’re just sleeping,’ Jungkook said as Namjoon looked at us. I heard Jimin groan and I looked down at him just as Yoongi walked into the room.
‘What the * happened in here?’ he asked as he eyed all of us.
‘We don’t know. We walked in and found them asleep like this,’ I said as Yoongi looked over at the crib. His eyes went wide as he turned to look at me and I nodded. Logan was missing.
‘I don’t understand. I kept checking the cameras. I saw nothing,’ Yoongi argued as Namjoon looked at him.
‘Someone took my son. Someone dared to take my son!’ Namjoon said, anger visible on his face as he still stroked Myung gently, as if she could just break.
‘Hyung we need to focus to get him back,’ I said and he nodded.
‘We’ll take them to their rooms, call a doctor to check them out. Yoongi start working on the cameras and tracking Logan, something,’ Namjoon said.
‘I will,’ Yoongi said as he dashed out of the room. I helped to pick up Jimin as he groaned louder. I started dragging him with me as I took him to his bedroom. Somehow I managed to open the door and pull him to the bed.
‘*ing hell, I can’t believe this is happening,’ I said to myself as I ran my hand through my hair. There wasn’t even a sign of a break in… could it be someone from Bangtan itself. Who would dare?
I sighed as I walked out only to bump into Jennie. ‘Hoseok,’ she said as she looked at me with big eyes.
‘Sorry Jennie, I didn’t see you,’ I said as I went to walk but she grabbed me by the arm and turned me around. ‘Jen,’ I said but she shook her head.
‘Hoseok wait! Listen to me,’ she said, forcing me stop talking. ‘I know what happened. Daniel brought some drinks to them and then I saw him going out with Logan. He handed him to some ladies in a cloak,’ she said.
‘WHAT?’ I yelled but she quickly put a hand on my mouth. So the Scarlets have Logan? Oh God!
‘I don’t know who else is in on it so we have to be careful. I think I overheard them mention a location but I am not sure. I want to go check it out,’ she said.
‘That’s amazing Jennie. Let’s go tell the others and we bring backup,’ I said but she shook her head.
‘No, we can’t. Hoseok, please,’ she said, almost sounding as if she was begging.
‘Why not?’ I asked, an unpleasant feeling in my stomach making its presence known. She gulped as she looked all over before she looked at me.
‘I um… I,’ she stuttered, making me grow annoyed.
‘What Jennie? Please speak up, I can’t waste time,’ I snapped at her. She recoiled backwards and I sighed. ‘I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to shout but we need to get to Logan and you have a clue. I don’t understand the delay,’ I said.
‘They’re going to use Logan to lure Cherry out,’ she said in one breath as she continued to stare at me.
‘What?’ I asked, feeling my heart suddenly start to race. ‘What do you mean?’ I asked.
‘I mean that I heard them talking. This, this is all about getting Cherry. Daniel is their spy. If they don’t hear from him or if Daniel tells them about all of Bangtan leaving, they would know something is up. They’d kill both Logan and her!’ she said.
‘*, *, *,’ I said as I started tugging at my hair. ‘*, no,’ I mumbled as I paced around in the corridor.
‘What if we sneaked out, just us two. We can leave without alerting anyone and we can secure Logan and then call for backup and help Cherry too,’ she said.
‘Yeah… maybe you’re right. Come on, let’s go,’ I said as I began to rush down the stairs.

I looked on as those two pathetic people came to the deserted place. I looked over at one of my Scarlets. ‘Shall we get them?’ she asked and I nodded. I continued to sit on my chair as I watched while my Scarlets went to Jennie and Hoseok.
I could see why little Umbra would fall for him. He was handsome and he did come here for her and the child. He’s as weak on emotions as her. Yet, the more pathetic one is Jennie. I could admire Umbra doing this to protect people she cares about, but Jennie, oh Jennie, she was a traitor, even if she was doing it for so called love.
I watched as my Scarlets surrounded them. I heard Jennie scream and before Hoseok could take out his gun, my Scarlets had him pinned to the floor. ‘Ah precious show,’ I said to myself as I watched them being dragged towards me. Hoseok was struggling but Jennie seemed afraid. Of course she would be, this was not what we “agreed” on. Foolish girl!
My Scarlets pushed them to their knees in front of me as Hoseok dared to look at me. ‘YOU!’ he spat out. There was anger and hatred for me in his eyes and I actually liked the tenacity of that.
‘Hello Jung Hoseok. We meet again,’ I said as I stood up from my chair. ‘It is somewhat unfortunate that we meet under these circumstances, but alas, you sealed your faith when you chose to love little Umbra,’ I said.
‘Where is she? What did you do to her? And where’s Logan?’ he asked as he seemed to struggle but they held him in place.
‘Oh I only have Logan so far, but don’t worry, Umbra will be here as soon as I tell her I have you and Logan,’ I said.
‘I swear to God, I will kill you if you hurt either of them,’ he said, his eyes wild with anger.
‘You can try but you’ll probably be dead before then,’ I said, rather confidently.
‘What?’ Jennie asked as I turned to look at her. ‘What are you doing? We… you,’ she stuttered not wanting to reveal her dirty tricks. She looked between me and Hoseok, her face growing white while beads of sweat started showing up on her forehead.
‘What? Say it Jennie!’ I taunted as I saw her gulp. Hoseok looked at us, confused. 'Come on Jennie, say this was not part of the plan,' I said, laughing, relishing in her discomfort.
‘Jennie what is she talking about? How do you know each other? What plan is she talking about?’ Hoseok asked, clearly starting to fit the puzzle pieces together. Maybe he was not as stupid as I thought.
‘Hoseok, I… I’m sorry. I just,’ Jennie said as she had tears rolling down her cheeks.
‘Jennie why don’t you tell him that you were one of the masterminds behind what has been going on hmm?’ I asked.
‘What are you talking about? No… no it can’t be. Jennie tell me it’s not true!’ he yelled but Jennie just cried more as she refused to look at him. ‘JENNIE!!’ he shouted, even louder.
‘Oh poor Hoseok just got played. Since she refuses to tell you, let me indulge you. A few weeks ago, Jennie came to me. She offered me information and access to get to Umbra in order to have you to herself,’ I said.
‘What?’ Hoseok asked as his anger faded and got replaced by hurt and confusion.
‘Oh yes. She’s the one who told me about that party so I could make my grand entrance with Lux which would result in making Umbra run to protect you. Then it was her who drugged the others and gave me Logan,’ I explained, relishing in giving out the details.
‘No… Jennie tell me she’s lying. Tell me, this is one of her tricks,’ he said. ‘Tell me you’re not a traitor,’ he said, more loudly.
‘I’m sorry Hoseok. I… I love you but you, you never noticed me and it got worse ever since Cherry came. She poisoned your mind and she’s all you care about,’ Jennie said.
‘Because I truly care about her! Because I…because I love her Jennie. Her!’ Hoseok yelled. ‘She never did anything to you! Why would you hurt her like this?’ he asked, his voice cracking. Interesting!
‘Because she took you away from me Hoseok. She’s an assassin. She’s nothing like us. She’s a killer. How can you love her?’ she asked but Hoseok shook his head.
‘She’s more than that Jennie,’ Hoseok said calmly. ‘She’s special and she did not take me away from you. I never belonged to you in the first place,’ he said.
‘No, no you do belong with me. You just don’t see it!’ Jennie yelled but I sighed. I was starting to get annoyed with her.
‘Oh Jennie, poor Jennie. You don’t seem to get it, but he doesn’t love you,’ I said as I took out my sword.
‘Wh—what are you doing?’ Jennie asked, a new look of fear on her face. I walked closer to her as I pointed my sword to her throat.
‘There are a lot of things I hate Jennie – feelings, pathetic and weak people but what I hate the most are traitors,’ I said. ‘You betrayed your family and I no longer have any purpose for you,’ I said as I went behind her.
‘No! Wait don’t kill her,’ Hoseok said as he tried to once again struggle against the hold. I smiled as I moved the sword against her skin. I heard her gasp before she began to gurgle. She fell forward as her body *ed a little, a pool of blood forming under her. ‘J—Jennie,’ Hoseok called quietly before I went to stand in front of him.
‘Why bother about her? She betrayed you. You’re here because of her,’ I said, laughing.
‘She could have been exiled from Bangtan or something but not, not this,’ Hoseok said, almost sounding as if he was about to be sick.
‘Oh Hoseok, I can see why Umbra would fall for you,’ I said but he chuckled.
‘Hanuel doesn’t love me like that. She might care for me a lot but not love me,’ he said but I smirked.
‘Are you sure about that?’ I asked as I kneeled down before him. ‘Well, we’ll find out soon enough when she comes here. I have a beautiful surprise for her,’ I said.
‘Please leave her. She only wanted to be free of this world, of the senseless killing,’ he said but I scoffed.
‘No, she chose to be weak and she chose to betray this family. Instead, she abandoned us and then joined you. She will pay for that,’ I said as I stood up.
‘Please, I am begging you. I don’t care if I look pathetic to you but I am begging you. Let her and Logan go,’ he said.
‘It’s funny that you’re begging for their lives but not yours,’ I said as I nodded. ‘I do admire that Hoseok, but I am afraid it is not enough. I want her head and I will have it, no matter the cost. Take him to the cage, make sure he is separated from Logan but close enough,’ I said as the two Scarlets nodded and started to drag Hoseok away.
I smiled as I went back to my chair. I grabbed my phone and went on the network I knew she would be watching as I sent her a text with the location. She would know what it means.
